This article will guide you through the necessary specifications to install Windows 11 and where to find this information.

Minimum System Requirements

To install Windows 11, your PC must meet the following minimum system requirements:

  • Processor: 1 GHz or faster with 2 or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or System on a Chip (SoC).

  • RAM: 4 GB or more.

  • Storage: 64 GB or larger storage device.

  • System Firmware: UEFI, Secure Boot capable.

  • TPM: Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0.

  • Graphics Card: Compatible with DirectX 12 or later with WDDM 2.0 driver.

  • Display: High definition (720p) display that is greater than 9” diagonally, 8 bits per color channel.

  • Internet Connectivity: Internet connection is required to perform updates and to download and use some features.

How to find the specifications of your system

  1. Open Start Menu: Click on the Start button at the bottom left of your screen.

  2. Access Control Panel: In the search box, type Control Panel and press Enter.

  3. System and Security: Click on the System and Security category. If your Control Panel is in "Large icons" or "Small icons" view, click directly on System.

  4. View Basic Information: You will see basic information about your computer, including the Windows edition, processor, RAM, and system type.

  1. Access System Information: Press the Windows key + X to open the Power User menu and select System.

  2. View System Information: The screen that opens will display information about your PC, including the Windows edition, processor, installed RAM, and system type.

  1. Open Settings: Click on the Start button and then the gear icon to open Settings. Alternatively, you can press Windows key + I.

  2. Go to System: In the Settings window, select System.

  3. Access About Section: Scroll down in the left pane and click on About. Here, you'll find device specifications including system type, processor, installed RAM, and other system information.

How to find TPM 2.0 and DirectX 12

To find out which TPM version 2.0 is activated follow the steps below:

  1. Press the Windows key + R at the same time.

  2. In the window that pops up, type tpm.msc and press enter.

If the computer does not support TPM 2.0, you will be notified of this in a pop-up box.

For the DirectX version:

1. Press the Windows key + R at the same time.

2. In the window that pops up, type dxdiag and press enter.

Here you need DirectX 12.
