In this article, we explain how to uninstall programs correctly and easily.
For Windows users:
Click on the Start button and type 'Control Panel' in the search box. Open the Control Panel.
In the Control Panel, click on 'Programs and Features' or 'Uninstall a program' under the 'Programs' category.
Find the program you want to uninstall in the list of installed programs.
Click on the program to select it, and then click on the 'Uninstall' button at the top of the list.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the uninstallation process.
Quick tip
You can also use the search function on your PC to find the setting. Simply type "Programs" in the search box, and it should display the 'Programs and Features' or 'Uninstall a program' option. Click on it to access the list of installed programs, and then follow the steps mentioned earlier to uninstall the desired program.
For macOS users:
Open Finder and navigate to the 'Applications' folder.
Locate the program you want to uninstall.
Right-click (or Control-click) on the program and select 'Move to Trash' from the context menu.
Empty the Trash to permanently delete the program from your computer.
Please note that some applications may require additional steps or dedicated uninstallers to remove them completely. Be sure to check the developer's website for any specific instructions on uninstalling their software.
If you cannot find the Applications folder
If you cannot locate the Applications folder, open Finder on your Mac. At the top of the screen, click "Go" in the menu bar, then choose "Applications" from the dropdown menu. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut Shift + Command + A to quickly access the Applications folder.
