When downloading applications via web browsers like Chrome on Windows, users may face a security prompt indicating the software isn't verified by Microsoft. This protective measure aims to ensure downloads primarily come from the Microsoft Store.
To allow the installation of apps that are not verified on both Windows 10 and Windows 11, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open Settings
Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app, or search for "Settings" in the search field.
Step 2: Navigate to App Settings
On Windows 10: Go to "Apps" and then select "Apps & features" from the sidebar.
On Windows 11: Go to "Apps" and then select "Advanced app settings" from the sidebar.
Step 3: Change Installation Settings
Find the setting that controls where you can get apps from. It might be titled "Choose where to get apps" or similar. Change this setting to "Anywhere".
