How to upgrade from Windows Home to Pro

Please note that you can only upgrade with a Retail license. You cannot upgrade with an OEM license.

For Windows 10

  1. Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Activation.

  2. Under "Upgrade your edition of Windows," choose "Change product key."

  3. Enter your Windows 10 Pro product key.

  4. Select "Next" to start the upgrade to Windows 10 Pro.

If you don't have a Windows 10 Pro key, purchase one here.

For Windows 11

  1. Select Start > Settings > System > Activation.

  2. Choose "Change product key" and then enter your Windows 11 Pro product key.

  3. Select "Next" to start the upgrade to Windows 11 Pro.

If you don't have a Windows 11 Pro key, purchase one here.
