If you already have Windows 11 Pro installed, you can upgrade to Windows 11 Pro for Workstations by entering your product key in Settings > Activation.
If you’re starting from a different edition — or don’t have Windows 11 installed — follow the instructions below to first install Windows 11 Pro, then upgrade using your product key.
You can also upgrade from Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro using a Pro key, and then apply your Pro for Workstations key afterward.
Step 1: Check compatibility
Before you begin, we recommend using Microsoft’s PC Health Check tool to verify that your computer meets the system requirements for Windows 11.
Step 2: Download Windows 11 Pro
Use the button below to download Windows 11 directly from Microsoft. The page will automatically detect your language. If you wish to switch languages, click the globe icon at the bottom left of the page.
Step 3: Install Windows 11 Pro
Important: During installation, do not enter your product key. If you enter it too early, Windows may install the wrong edition.
When prompted, select “I don’t have a product key”.
On the next screen, choose Windows 11 Pro from the list of available versions.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
After installation is complete, go to Settings > Activation to enter your Windows 11 Pro for Workstations key and activate the system.
