This guide explains how to install and activate Windows 10 Enterprise by upgrading from Windows 10 Pro using your product key.
Step 1: Install Windows 10 Pro
Before you can activate Windows 10 Enterprise, start by installing Windows 10 Pro.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Step 2: Upgrade to Windows 10 Enterprise
When Windows 10 Pro is installed, open Settings.
Go to Update & Security > Activation.
Click Change product key.
Enter your Windows 10 Enterprise product key (provided by email).
If the upgrade doesn’t start with your key, enter the following upgrade key instead:
NPPR9-FWDCX-D2C8J-H872K-2YT43
This key only unlocks the Enterprise edition — it does not activate Windows. After the upgrade is complete, return to the same menu and enter the product key you received to activate Windows.
Having trouble activating?
If your current version of Windows is an LTSB, LTSC, or Evaluation edition of Windows 10 Enterprise, your product key will not work. These versions cannot be upgraded with a key.
In this case, you need to reinstall Windows 10 Pro from the link above and then follow the upgrade steps again.
