In your order confirmation email, just below the product name, there is a link to download that guide. Click it to download the guide, then follow the steps for your language.
Two things to know before you begin:
There is no product key to enter for this edition.
This edition is not activated on setup.office.com and is not linked to a Microsoft account. Signing in with a Microsoft account will not activate it.
Before you start
macOS 12 (Monterey) or later is required. The guide has one download for macOS 12 and later (Monterey, Ventura) and a separate download for macOS 14 and later (Sonoma, Sequoia, Tahoe). Choose the one that matches your Mac.

The guide contains instructions in 22 languages. Page 1 is an index, so use it to jump to your language.
Step 1 – Remove any older version of Office
Move Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote to the Trash.
Step 2 – Download and install
Download the version that matches your macOS, open the downloaded file, and follow the on-screen steps.
Step 3 – Complete activation
Follow step 3 of the guide. No product key is required and no further setup is needed.
If activation does not complete
The guide includes a reset download. Install it, then repeat step 3.
